A Warm Welcome Awaits You

From the moment you arrive, you are family. We are a Reformed African Christian congregation, founded in 2009, and a New Worshiping Community under the Presbytery of Riverside. What that means for you is simple: you will find Christ-centered, Bible-grounded worship offered in a spirit of grace. Come as you are. There is no dress code that matters more than a heart open to God.

We worship at 829 N. Mount Vernon Avenue, San Bernardino, CA 92411. Parking is straightforward, and you are welcome to arrive a little early to settle in and meet a few friendly faces.

When We Worship

Our main gathering is Sunday worship at 11:00 AM. If you love music, you are welcome to come even earlier — our choir practices at 10:00 AM, and visitors often enjoy listening as the sound fills the sanctuary.

Throughout the week there are more ways to connect:

Wednesday Bible study at 8:00 PM — a relaxed setting to dig into Scripture together.
Thursday prayer meeting at 8:00 PM — where we bring our joys and burdens before God as one family.

Whether Sunday morning fits your schedule or a weeknight gathering suits you better, there is always a place for you.

Worship in Your Heart Language

One of the things that makes an African church service in Southern California feel like home is hearing the languages of home. At Church of Amazing Grace International, we worship in English, Gĩkũyũ, and Swahili. You may hear a hymn lifted in Gĩkũyũ, a prayer offered in Swahili, and the sermon shared in English — woven together in a way that honors where we come from and the God who calls us together.

For many in our community, this blending of languages is deeply comforting. For visitors who speak only one of these languages, do not worry — you will still be able to follow along and feel the warmth of the gathering.

What the Service Itself Is Like

A typical Sunday includes singing, prayer, the reading and preaching of God's Word, and time to fellowship. Expect joyful music, heartfelt prayer, and a message rooted in the Bible and centered on Jesus Christ. As a Reformed congregation, we hold Scripture at the heart of all we do, and we trust the grace of God to meet every person who comes seeking Him.
